PWR-X-RS232-Bx is a RS232 to Wi-Fi converter. It is a plug-and-play Wi-Fi boxed module.

PWR-X-RS232-Bx is a client / server type Wi-Fi module: this means that it is able to autonomously connect to a server, also public, and communicate with it. It can simulate a wire cutting between two devices used combined with another PWR-X-RS232-Bx module.

Like other Wiicom’s modules it permits ad hoc mode and infrastructure operation mode.

TRANSCEIVER AND POWER SUPPLY

Wiicom supplies a solution for the transceiver needs that combines powering and interfacing. PWR-X-RS232-Bx is equipped with a RS232 transceivers to communicate with the host.

In addition it can ben supplied with a voltage between 7 and 28VDC, for an industrial and all-day use.

CLOUD READY

PWR-X-RS232-Bx client/server versions are able to connect directly to many servers, also with public ips, and start a communication with them. In addition they are able to make a connection with a Cloud service, like Wiicom Sense Cloud.

NO SOFTWARE NEEDED

The PWR-X-RS232-Bx modules are immediately ready to be used. Thanks to Wiicom configurator software, available on Wiicom website, user can define all Wi-Fi network settings.

There’s no need to develop or modify any software on the host board.

The PWR-X-RS232-B9 is the boxed module for RS232  with  a DB9 female connector.
