Automotive Wi-Fi
WIICOM Wi-Fi modules are wireless devices that directly provide an interface for data transfer in automotive sectors.
They integrate an RF transceiver with power amplifier, a frequency reference and an antenna in hardware.
In automotive our modules are able to transfer on the Internet (connection with access-point) or personal device (ad hoc connection) data in transit on the CAN-BUS network . By means of a standard connector OBD embedded in our modules they can be connected directly to the socket of the car devoted to the diagnostics of the operating parameters.
WLAN protocol, configuration functionality and networking stack are implemented in embedded firmware.
A high speed serial interface (USDB ®) is present on WIICOM modules that is a physical way to connect CAN BUS, through OBD or OBD2 connector, for automotive industries. WIICOM modules can can be used as CAN Analyzer on Wi-Fi.
The important thing is that the electronic devices on board vehicle don’t need modifications at the software to communicate in wifi through WIICOM embedded modules:
NO SOFTWARE NEEDED.
